Our philosophy is rooted in our innate desire to fuse African Heritage with Contemporary Culture… to create and curate Home interiors and Lifestyle accessories for an authentic, culture conscious clientele… to produce independent collections that positively promote African artisans and artistry…

ANTEPENDIA designs and creates handcrafted interior soft furnishings, home décor pieces, and lifestyle accessories that include cushions, cushion covers; sofa throws, lampshades; upholstery, bags, bed linen, lounge textiles, tapestries and tableware collections.
We design and produce collections in-house, fusing traditional processes; ancestral prints; and contemporary textiles, to create unique, limited edition boutique collections, that capture and complement the ancestral crafts and visual storytelling practices of the African continent.
We aim to be a one-stop-shop and online platform for high calibre, hand crafted, lifestyle accessories and premium products, inspired by Africa’s rich creative cultural history - her artistic heritage; her ancestral print processes and traditional textile designs; and her storytelling.
